Laurence's Story
After graduating from Park Hill I attended KU for 3 semesters majoring in engineering. I left KU and spent 2 years in the 82nd Airborne Division ('71-'73). After getting out of the Army I got my BS in Economics from SW Missouri State.
After college I worked for American Hospital Supply, Baxter Healthcare and Sammons Preston (a total of 25 years). My roles with these companies ranged from distribution operations, supply chain management and consulting. I left healthcare in 2001 for an opportunity in ...Expand for more
with Cap Gemini Consulting. After 2 years I was recruited to join Underwriters Laboratories in Chicago to help build a consulting practice within the firm.
I have had the opportunity to live in many parts of the US including Texas, Florida, North Carolina California, Louisiana, Georgia, Kansas and now Illinois. I met my wife in San Antonio, TX (we were married in '83). I now have three sons (one at KU, a senior in HS and an 8th grader).
Life has been good to us and we look forward to more of it.
