Laurence's Story
I just returned to live in Orange County (Mission Viejo) after 27 years away. What a difference 100 miles makes. Anyway, my history: I couldn't afford college full-time after HS and of course got drafted while working and going to OCC part-time. Went to Viet-Nam as a military policeman and came home without a scratch. Worked as an oil-tools salesman for a few years, then got my BA on the GI bill. Got married. Spent a few years writing/producing/directing low-budget educational films and shopping a three-act play around Hollywood little theaters. Twice got close to a production, twice got my bubble popped. Got divorced in
76; no kids. Went back to school for a law degree while working as a law clerk, and got married again . We have an only child (a wonderful daughter).. I practiced law for 22 years, mostly on the central coast of CA. Retired February '10 to pursue my interest in photograp...Expand for more
hy, writing, and music, visit old friends and family, and try to figure out what life is about. Got amicably divorced in 2016. I've had he most success showing photography, with half a dozen solo shows and a number of group shows ranging from Santa Barbara to Santa Cruz since I retired, but my photography seems a little far out there for most people. Some of my writing and photography can be seen at laurencekscott.com. On 12/20/22, a solo show of my photography will be posted for a month on Exhibizone.com, and I have a solo show opening in Mission Viejo 1/2/23 and running for three months at a local library. Recently I published some of my novels, stories, and children's books on Amazon, mainly to see them in print. I've been into health and fitness for 45 years, but I'm not an extremist about it; I just want to live to be old enough to get my head on straight, assuming that's even possible.
