I am not sure why the Lord is teaching me as much geography as He is. Currently, I am living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I have spent most of the last year living in Islamabad, Pakistan. I have many interesting stories about that particular life experience. This week I was in India for the third time in two months. We are launching a product to provide the 75% of the world¿s population that does not have a bank account with a secure, easy to use low cost technology to manage their funds. In the early 80s, I got into the Cable TV industry. First in marketing and later in operations. I made stops in Boston, Tampa, Shreveport, Kansas City, Los Angeles, and Cleveland. When the industry in the US consolidated in the mid 90s, I began to look at opportunities overseas. We spent from late 1997 through early 2000 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia building a ¿culturally appropriate¿, multichannel system for the King. In 2000, I was CEO of one of the six original tier one internet backbone companies. In 2002, I ran the second largest Cable TV company in Japan out of Tokyo. In 2003, my wife, her niece, her niece¿s husband and I started a company to allow people without bank accounts to pay any bill over the internet through a network of local retailers. I separated from John Winchester¿s sister, Gail, in 1983. We were divorced in 1986. Gail and I have one son, Laurence C. Scudder III (Beau). Beau is attempting to become the world¿s first Rock Violist. His band is Ryan Montbleau Band. They started their year with three weeks in the Caribbean (US & British Virgin Islands).
