Laurie's Story
I've moved a bit since high school. Life has been about loss and gain for me. I lost my Mom in high school and my Dad not too many years after. I married and divorced then found the love of my life, had two beautiful girls, then in Las Vegas found another wonderful couple that became my adopted parents. I lost my beloved husband 3 years ago and my beloved second Dad just this past year. I gained a second family through my older daughter Brittany's boyfriend. I am able to continue to own my home, continue my love of animals by having my dog Katie and my 5 cats. I'm dating again and think I might have found another good guy. I will say though, I was almost like an only child and anyone who remembers me from back in high school, I kind of like having my ow...Expand for more
n way. Lucky me though, I get to share it with my blue eyed, blond haired diva girl Dakota who just turned 10 this November (2008). We live close to my late husband's parents and even though that is trying at times we are thankful to have family close. I live in Sedro-Woolley, Washington now. It's a small town close to a bit of semi-suburban northwest Washington state. It's green, I have found a passion for growing roses and vegetables and I just take on an odd job or two to make it through. When we left Las Vegas to move here my late husband, Bobby, loved to say he was glad to leave the "rat race" because rats won!!. Words to live by and one of many Bobbyisms I will remember fondly of him. (He died in a car accident June 13, 2005, may he rest in peace.)
