Laurie A.'s Story
Still married to the same guy I met in 1975. We have 2 sons & 1 adopted daughter (ages 37 & 31 & 38) & 3 grand daughters (my "grand diva's"). We moved back to Michigan last year, from Little Rock, Arkansas. Little Rock was a great place to live & one of my favorite places we have lived of all the states. Arkansas is a beautiful state & still pretty unspoiled, but progressive & the folks are very welcoming. My favorite year there was 2005 when I turned 50, got my purple PT Cruiser, & climbed Pinnacle Mountain there (one of the older smaller mountains in the Ozark chain). Hopefully I can do that again (maybe). I don't really care for this aging business so I just pretend I am still extremely young & just out of H.S. I spend my time as often as I can with my kids & grand kids, & while that keeps my mind young...keeping up with them reminds me of just how much more "mature" we are becoming. oved back first. He took over the "Bonefish Grill" in Novi as partner/ owner. So if you are in or near there...stop by for some yummy food. Our oldest moved to Washington State with his fiance & seem very happy.... but...itz sooo far. Our "bonus" daughter & her hubby, an Army Major, will be coming back to the states after living in Korea for 3 years...yay! I have also spent the last 15 years reconnecting with my Art spirit working in mixed media but focusing on clay & textiles. I have 2 kilns & enjoy them both, but now they await to be hooked back up. My hubby Mark(Michalski) took early retirement & so we downsized & now in Lansing. Moving cross country at this age was horrendous & I certainly do not recommend it...yikes! We still have our little white furry 7lb. Maltese dogs, Sofee, & Kabookee, but sadly lost our Tofoo who was almost 18. Will take awhile to get over that, she was glued to my heart.
