Laurie's Story
I married for the first time at age 26 and had two beautiful daughters. We seperated after 11 years and divorced two years later when I was age 39.
I remarried shortly thereafter in 1999 to a retired lieutenant firefighter. We had a daughter in 2002. She is a doll. We live on a 500 acre horse farm out off High Shoals Road (wow, do you remember High Shoals?). I never thought I'd live way out here, but it's no longer "way out"! I don't see many old friends but would love to. JerriLynn still lives close by so we keep up with old friends through each other. Life has it's twists and turns for sure. at heart) got us into the tree-nursery business. We sell propagated, field grown and container trees to the wholesale landscape industry. He works mostly at the tree farms while Scott and I oversee American Pest Control.
I love to travel whenever possible. I've been to Italy twice. I love Tuscany! I enjoy Italian food and good red wine. I love 70's music (still!)....classic rock and 70's dance tunes (remember the B&L???) It's hard to believe that Mother's Finest actually played in Athens not too long ago. We go to Chastain Park Amphitheater quite a bit to hear old 70's bands. It's great, you take a picnic, some wine and candles and rock the night away under the stars. What better thing to do in our middle age??
