Laurie here to post a short bio. after graduating high school, i attened romar beauty school, graduated 1985, I married Mike Broadus in 1986. Had our first born son Shawn in 1987, Kyle 1989, Corey 1992, Nathan 1999. rasing kids, is no easy task, remember when we thought our parents knew nothing. you realize after your in the mist of dealing with teenagers that they aren't as dumb as we thought they were.
They are growing so fast. I'm telling you now charish the time you have with your kids, cause life can change with the blink of an eye.
I lost my oldest son April 11 2006 in a car crash, on 436. he was 18 and just realizing what life was all about, maturing and finding himself....Expand for more
It hit us all hard, I miss him everyday, in his memory i will write a book. I want to help others who have been in the same postion. Losing a child hurts to the core, you have no choice, but to move forward and try to remember all the good times. I know he is in heaven, he is our angle.
I've been a hair dresser in 1985, I've been writing poetry since 1974, i glass etch, press and dry flowers, and help others express what they want to say. i'm going to tackle a novel about my son and how it affected our life, and hopefuly help others in the process. I'm still down to earth, back to nature type girl. i'm looking forward to rekendling friendships of long ago.
