Laurie's Story
Wow! It's hard to imagine twenty-seven years have come and gone. I'll just say since I graduated from Ferris in 1981, I joined the military (1983) and to say the least that was the best thing that could have happened to me. It Saved My Life. Though I've traveled and met a lot of wonderful people throughout my military career. My true battle ground and training ground began long before I reached Fort Dix in May 0f 83 and Afghanistan three years ago. So to All of my true Battle Buddies on the Front lines of Jersey City I send Peace and Blessings and I especially want to send a Special Shout Out to my Sister in Heaven (Cheryl Shay-Shay Mainor) She was my First Battle Buddy. My true classmate at Ferris. Remember, God didn't bring us this far to leave us and if he created a way of Escape for you as he did for Me. I Salute You. One Soldier to Another.
