Laurie's Story

Currently, I work as a 3rd grade teacher in a VERY urban school district outside of Providence, RI and I LOVE it! Everyday is a challenge. I never know what sorts of things will come up in class but I feel like I am making a difference in the lives of my students. I am happily married to Ken whom I married after I moving to Rhode Island in 1997. I have 3 chil...Expand for more
dren. My son, Joseph - age 10. Two step-children: Tiffany, age 24 and Craig, age 20. In addition I also have a step granddaughter named Firenzia who is 18 months old. Between work, my husband and "the kids" I keep pretty busy, but I insist on adding more to my schedule. :) I also tutor a few students and I am taking graduate courses when they fit into my schedule.
