Laurie's Story
Life
Hi all you 1975 grads. I still live in Illinois but I have moved to the city with my husband, Mike of 30 years. We moved to a highrise on the 23rd floor and this last year we moved to the 34th floor. It has a third bedroom and a bigger master bedroom. We spent a good year fixing it up, painting, electrical, floors, carpet, blinds etc. Our boys are both grown and doing good. Our oldest Doug is married to Azizi and they live in Downers Grove. They have been marrried 3 years. Our youngest Dan is engaged to Keely and lives close by us in the city. d Chicago Backflow which is associated with the Plumbing field. He travels but not as much as he had been. We have been doing lots of traveling ourselves. A trip to Russia, one to Hawaii, Bermuda and others have been great. I was working in school in Palatine but got sick of the commute. It was hard to leave the kids. I now work part-time with families who have disabled kids in their homes. My scheuld and my time. I enjoy doing things in the city like plays and the symphony and riding my bike along the lake, and the art museum and just hanging out downtown. Take Care, Laurie
