Laurie's Story
Life
I have lived in Nashville, TN for the past 28 years. I have two daughters, who are 21 and 25. They are both living at home. The oldest graduated from college in December 2006 after doing an internship in the Fall for a major in Recreation Therapy. The younger one decided college is not her thing and is currently trying to decide if she should get a new job or go back to school. I work as a School Psychologist for Nashville Public Schools and have 23 years experience with them, plus 5 years working in a maximum security prison as a counselor. We currently have 3 dogs and 6 cats, of which two dogs and 1 cat are mine. When the girls move out, the animal population should become much more manageable. as a steady boyfriend, but he is still in college. No grandchildren, thank goodness. I love my job and am very happy and satisfied with my life. I work out at Curves most days after work, since I sit most of the time on the job. Mostly I give tests to children or have meetings with parents about giving tests to children. My brother and his family live in Reading, PA and my sister is in Audobon. My father is 80 and lives in Florida with his wife of 10 years. My mother died 10 1/2 years ago with Alzheimer's and my dad has been diagnosed with it now. Hopefully research will find a cure or treatment before my time comes. That's about all there is to report. Not much happens, just the day to day stuff that no one wants to hear about.
