Laury's Story

Life Hello to all!!! I have 2 children; a beautiful 24yr old daughter and handsome 20yr old son. I live in Loganville, Georgia which is just outside of Atlanta. My daughter graduated from the University of West Georgia in May 2009. She is currently a 2nd Grade teacher and loves the children! My son is a junior attending Georgia State University. I am so proud of both of them!!! After graduation I attended Beebe Hospital School of Nursing in Lewes, Delaware. I graduated from the Nursing School of Wilmington in Delaware in 1980. After working in medical/ surgical nursing for 6 months I transferred to the Intensive Care Unit and found my niche. I worked in the Intensive Care setting until my son was born in 1991. he American Queen Pageant benefiting the DASH Foundation which promotes awareness of domestic abuse among middle school and high school students. I was crowned Ms. Georgia American Queen in April 2007 and competed at the national pageant in Daytona Florida in August 2007. I came in 2nd runner-up after competing in interview, athletic wear and evening gown. I had a great time and met tons of very nice ladies from all over the country! I have continued my pageant interests by directing, coaching and judging pageant at different levels. Still a girly girl!!! I have attended 3 of the class reunions (10, 20, and 35) and have thoroughly enjoyed getting back in touch with old friends. I am currently trying to find some of our lost classmates whose contact information we do not have. It has been fun...I feel like a private investigator of sorts! Please feel free to contact me!!!
