Lawrence's Story
Life
After graduation from Midland, I completed my BA at Trinity College, Toronto. Donna (nee Knight, Midland graduate of 1974) and I were married in 1976. I completed my M.Div at Wycliffe College, Toronto, being ordained priest in the Anglican church in 1979. I worked in Anglican parishes in Saskatchewan until 1985, when I resigned from the Anglican church and was received into the Orthodox Church. After two more ...Expand for more
years of seminary in Pennsylvania, Donna and I and our (then) two young daughters moved to Surrey, B.C. to start a small Orthodox English-language mission. We have been here ever since. The church has grown, our kids have grown (the eldest is married, with a son of their own) and we are still in Surrey-- deliriously happy, incredibly busy and still standing. And, as Paul Simon says, still crazy after all these years.
