Lawrence's Story
I am married to an Israeli and moved to Israel in 1986, after having lived here in 1969-70 and from 1971-73. I am a psychologist, having done an MSc and PhD at USC, finishing in 1981. We lived in LA from 1973-86. My wife is also a psychologist. We have 3 kids, 2 sons born in 1972 and 1973 and a daughter born in 1988. They are all married. Our older son and daughter have children and live in Israel. Our other son lives in Albany, NY.
Update: My son has 10 children, 3 of whom are married. We have 4 great-granddaughters through them. Our daughter is married with 4 children, 1 son and 3 daughters.
I semi-retired in 2020, when I sold my group home. I still consult there several hours per week. I maintain a private practice and continue working quite a few hours a week, but much less than when I ran the group home.
We are able to spend a lot of quality time with the grandchildren, thank G-d.

that Hamas started in its barbaric attack on Oct. 7 has had a profound affect on all of us. We hope for better days. We also hope for a more moral, fair approach by Biden and the US government.
I have not heard if and when there will be another reunion. I would love to come, if so. However, due to the distance, we would need quite a notice about it well in advance.
I own and run a large group home in Israel for adolescents with learning disabilites, attention deficit disorder and severe family problems, most placed under court order. We have a second population with Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare genetic syndrome. It is a very gratifying career. I also worked 26 years part-time as the psychologist on the Children's Units of a large acute care hospital in Jerusalem.
My wife and I came to our 10 year reunion, and I would hope to be able to attend our 50 years reunion in the next year, if there will be one.
