I have lived my 62 years to this point in a low key middle American fashion. My dream growing up was to be a pilot. That ended when I had to have glasses while at TJ. I refocused on the engineering field. Attended RPI(VCU)in Engineering Technology (66-68) and received my AS degree. I began work with the Va Dept. of Transportation in 1967 while taking additional classes under the VCU Math department. I worked with VDOT until September 2009 when I retired. That time with VDOT was interrupted briefly from July 1974 until June 1977. During that time I worked for a Consultant firm, as a construction inspector for the City of Richmond and as a programmer. On August 28 1976, I married Sherri Warner, the daughter of my pastor at Grove Avenue Baptist Church. We were married almost 33 years at her passing on June 25, 2009. I am now trying to plan how to spend the remainder of my time in what will be a very comfortable retirement. I hope ...Expand for more
