Lawrence's Story

Life Recently connected with Steve Stanton (Oak Street School and Saratoga High) and Steve sent me some photo's from an 8th grade party at his house. It's been great to visit with him and catch up on other friends and family. When I get a moment I will write a bio- but the bottom line is that I have had a great life- moved around a lot, made many friends and have had a great time in the process. Fran and I just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and we have two grown children. Our daughter lives nearby and we see our two grandson's all the time (is that great or what?). Our son (lives in Santa Barbara) is coming in to town tonight for his engagement party (what an exciting time) Saturday night. in one place was in Saratoga Calif, I'm guessing late 1950's to 1963. During that period of 60-64 I went to Saratoga High, freshman year, New Mexico Military Institute soph, back to Saratoga my jr. yr, then St. Andrews College in Dublin, Ireland and finally Sheldon high, Eugene, Oregon my sr. yr.- grad and went to the University of Oregon in the fall of 1964- that's when I started playing rock & roll in The Dominions (I am a drummer). Lot's of careers- Television, Advertising, Real Estate and then my final career move in 1982- I became a State Farm Insurance Agent in Eugene, Oregon. After four years moved to the role of agency manager in Portland, Oregon, then after seven years the position of Agency Director in Phil. PA. Now an agent in Portland, Oregon. We're happy to be back in Portland near our daughter and two grandson's!
