Lawrence's Story
Life
Born at what used to be the San Pedro Hospital in 1967, I remained in San Pedro for 18 years. At different times I lived below Gaffey, below Western, North of Peck Park or East of Averill Park. I attended Cabrillo, Bandini and 7th St. elementary, Dana Jr. High and San Pedro High.
After graduating in 1986 (the year of the infamous faculty walk-out) I joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served active duty from '86 to '92. During that time I traveled the world a few times over, visited a dozen countries, lived in France for 3 years, China for 1 year and s...Expand for more

After the Marines, I earned my BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley (Go Cal) in '95 and then my Masters in Social Work from CSU Long Beach in '99.
I currently work in South Los Angeles as a Clinical Therapist helping children with severe emotional and behavioral problems. I've never been married and have no children. I live in Long Beach but attend church at Knott Avenue Christian Church in Anaheim. I'm still very good friends with Ron Washington and keep in touch with Todd Worley and Susano Salceda (all fellow SPHS alum of '86).
