Life I've spent most of my life at school, either attending or teaching. After starting out at Virginia Tech in horticulture, I quickly moved on to Old Dominion for physical education. While there, I was exposed to research in exercise physiology and biomechanics, and my life was transformed. I went to graduate school at Georgia, came back & taught a year at WHS, and returned to Georgia where I obtained my doctorate in exercise science. I was a professor at Georgia Southern for 7 yrs and have been at the Univ of Memphis since 1986.
