Betty's Story
I am blessed with a wonderful husband, two lovely children, and three adorable grandchildren. That is what makes us most happy, love!
I graduated from the University of California, Sacramento (Sac State) with a degree in Business and went to work for the Federal Government.
Mike Riley and I were married in 1972. We had two wonderful children; John and Colleen. Our life was happy and full of adventure, then sadly Mike passed away in 1989. Our kids were young; it was very sad. Mike was a loving husband and father and was very brave.
I was blessed to meet and marry Mike Simpson in 1993. He is warm and loving and so much fun. We've had 21 wonderful years together. We are retired; me 32 years with the Bureau of Reclamation and Mike 38 years with U.S. Geological Survey and the Navy and the Army reserves. Retirement is so sweet.

ography with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Photography. She is a great photographer. She was just married October 2013, to Jeff who is an civil engineer. He also graduated from Sac State with a degree in engineering. His family is from Crescent City, CA. They have a wonder marriage.
Our son John is 37 years old. He and Connie Moore were married in 2004 and have three adorable children; granddaughter Avery (7 years old), grandson Gavin (5 weeks old), and grandson Kalan (3 years old). John graduated from Sac State with a degree in Social Science and earned his teaching credential. After teaching two years, John decided to switch careers and is now in sales. He is selling engineered manufacturing equipment. He has a wonderful little family.
Mike and I are enjoying retirement. We thank God every morning for each other. There is nothing in life that brings you more happiness then to be with the person you love, your partner for life. May God bless all of you the same happiness...
