Leah's Story
Since the 20th reunion, I have lived in Puerto Rico and then back to Virginia Beach. I have 5 children, 8 living grandchildren. My 14 yo granddaughter passed away August 21, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. Daughter #4 graduated from Chowan University in 2010 with a BS in Biology and is currently attending Norfolk State University in the nursing program. She graduates in May 2013. My youngest daughter graduated this past May from Virginia Wesleyan College with a BA in Criminal Justice. She currently works at the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in Virginia Beach. pril 21, 2008 at 94! I came back to bury them in Waupun. My nest was empty, but the 2 youngest are back. I had been designing and sewing custom ice skating dresses that had gone all over the world. I designed and sewed exclusively for a small shop in Switzerland. When my husband was on active duty, I stayed very busy with military families. After he retired, he worked as a Logistics consultant in Iraq where he got the national railroad up and running and wrote the guide for commercial airlines. Too many close calls so I asked him to come home. No amount of money is worth your life. It seems so strange that I have lived away from Fond du Lac for more years than I lived there. I would love to hear from anyone.
