After graduation, I continued my education finishing a BS in Health Sciences and Education at San Diego State University. During my university education, I was employed by the VA Medical Center, La Jolla in Hospital Administration as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Anesthesiology, Vice Chair, Department of Anesthesiology, UCSD School of Medicine, In 1982, I spent 5 weeks in Western Europe, Scandinavia and the Mediterranean thus beginning a life long love of travel. Following my university graduation, I became a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative selling to physicians, medical center department administrators and pharmacies. I became more specialized as a Sales and Account Manager in the area of radiology diagnostics for Bristol Myer's Squibb and Smith and Nephew Diagnostics, with a West Coast and Hawaii territory. My next career move was into the Life Science Research arena, where I was again a Sales and Account Manager in the University research, Medical Center research and Biotech companies selling kits for genetic and immunology research. I advanced in my career once more, working with Biotech researchers involved in new drug discovery and drug development.
