Mary's Story
I have been married for 25 years. I met my husband in 1973 while traveling to Europe with my Aunt and Uncle. We have been blessed with two wonderful children. Our daughter, Theresa, works in the family business and is our singer. Our son, John, swam for CAL and is now training in southern California for the 2012 Olympics. We are so proud of each of their accomplishments!
I have such fond memories of high school! While attending Rowland, I played center on the girls varsity basketball team and also played spiker on the girls volleyball team. l I would go to our ranch in Brea and work by giving riding lessons (english and western) and training my horse "Matinee Idol".....and get him all ready for the next horse show!
While at Brea high school, I joined the drill team. Also, joined the FFA and raised a grand champion feeder steer. That is when I met my first real boyfriend. Fred Von Voigt was an amazing young man! He never met a stranger and was the kindest person you could ever know. We lost Fred on October 3, 2003. I will forever be grateful for knowing he and his beautiful family.
I would enjoy very much the rekindling of old friendships....
