Lee Schmidt:  

Lee is currently living in Springfield, Missouri. Lee has been married to Joyce (Steely) Schmidt since 1972. Lee attended Lyons Township High School (65), Lyons Township Junior College (AA, 67), College of DuPage, Northern Illinois University, Central Bible College (BA, 74), Southwest Missouri State University (MSEd, 88) Lee's employment includes Argonne National Labs (High Energy Physics Lab Technician) (required Top Secret Security Clearance), Security Officer, 3M Company, Rutledge Junior College (Professor and Placement Director), GED Instructor and Assistant Director of 15-county GED District, Psychiatric Technician I and II (Cox Health Systems), and Case Manager and Psychosocial Evaluator (Burrell Behavioral Health). Lee was honored with a (Missouri) Governor's Recognition award for his efforts in the GED program under the auspices of the Federal Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA). Lee served in the Civil Air Patrol (USAF Auxiliary) for 26 years, retiring in 2009 as Lt Col; he served at the Squadron, Group, Wing, and Region levels .His awards include the Grover Loring (Level IV) award, the Meritorious Service award, eight (8) Commander's Commendations, the Disaster Relief with V for Valor award for the 1993 Midwest Floods, among others.
