Lee's Story
Life
Okay, after I finished grade 12 at Westmount, I shot off to Sheridan College and did my 3 year Classical Animation Diploma and then another 2 year diploma for Special FX film. As soon as I graduated, I took a job in Ottawa as an animator on the CBC series "The Raccoons". I animated for a couple of years on that and then went into Directing and Head of Production. I had the opportunity to direct Margot Kidder and Leslie Neilsen on a couple of projects. About 10 years ago I decided to open my own shop, Boomstone Entertainment Inc. here in Ottawa. I am still working with Ms. Kidder on one project and developing a bunch more. Never a dull moment. I live on the Rideau River south of Ottawa. I do get back ...Expand for more
to Hamilton every once in a while and hope to set up a second studio in that area soon. We've been scouting offices but haven't quite decided as of yet. Cheers
School
Hmmm...biggest crush eh...had two. One on D. Gauthier and another on K. Maudsley (spelling unsure). Head over heels. Had a good time at Westmount once I relaxed and decided I wasn't gonna make it to grade 13 and would head to college. Hated exams and spent most of my time drawing on them. Loved Art class...didn't really care for art history but could respect the history. Math...well, math I JUST DIDNT GET. I couldn't see how it was going to help me in animation...boy was I wrong. So much math in camera moves and budgets etc etc.
