Updated October 13, 2003, our anniversary. James and I are still together, happier than ever, and living in the San Diego area (17 years). We have three children and five grandchildren, the youngest is 17-month-old James Edward Hughes IV, known affectionately as J.J. Two of our kids, Jamie and Haley, live here and work in our company, Hughes Management (property mgmt). Haley is in her second year of college. Our oldest child, Libba, lives in the Dallas area and has three children. I spend a lot of my time as a volunteer promoting conservative public policy by researching, writing, and public speaking. James plays racquetball every morning before work and is still an outstanding...Expand for more

He has recently decided to give up flying and start playing golf--with his determination, he will probably do well. You can get in touch with us at 619-239-1639, our office phone number. August 29, 2009 - Update - In the last six years, we have added four grandchildren and have two more on the way. James now plays racquetball three mornings a week and is repairing an injury with yoga and Pilates. He quit flying and quit golf, but now he has started back with golf once a week.
We've been in the San Diego area 23 years now--amazing!
