Leigh's Story
Life
I've been living in the Seattle area since 1993. I started out working for the Wright Group, and most of that time lived in the Kenmore area.
In 2001 I went on my dream vacation to Ireland. I did a 14 day tour through Rick Steves Tours, then added 4 days in London, England. Met alot of wonderfull people, and saw some amazing sights. I look forward to someday going back to Ireland. I especially loved the west coast.
In September of 2003 I went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a week. I won the vacation on the radio. (Yes, people really do win those things.) I took my Mom, making it one of our best Mother/Daughter trips yet. It was fun, sunny, and beautiful. A definate go see if you get the chance.
I was laid off at the begining of that same month from the Wright Group. Unemployment is not fun, I hope to never have to go there again. The trip helped with the transition. Its amazing how busy you can be looking for a job. It's a full time job in itself! Just as I was getting ready to really panic, I found a new job.
I have been working at the Everett Herald since May 2004. It's great, I like what I'm doing, building ads...Expand for more
for the newspaper, and everyone is nice. Everett is a great community. At the end of August 2004, I moved into a 2 bd Condo on Lake Berverly in Everett. I get to watch the ducks swim while I eat breakfast every morning. It's nice, and It's mine. I can paint the walls any color I want! Now I just need to get one of those blow-up Kayaks so I can explore the lake.
I'm still single, can't seem to find a man I think I could live with. Haven't had much time to care, I'm doing just fine on my own. Mom would like to see her kids settle down and start producing grandkids. :-) Maybe I'll work on that in a few years. Right now, I've got shelves to build and walls to paint, and a lake to explore.
I still have my Turtle, Boe, I expect him to out live me. On April 6, 2005 I adopted Charlie from the Everett Pound. He is a 1 year old, Pom/Terrier/Poodle mix. Cute as a button, and full of energy. We are having fun finding trails to blaze together.
I go back to Ephrata often to visit my parents, yes they are still there. Maybe I'll see you around town. I like hearing about old highschool friends and how they are doing, so feel free to e-mail me.
