Leilani's Story
Sailed on the Allure in March for Malea’s 21st birthday. Had the family all together in Puerto Vallarta in May for our nieces wedding then we all traveled to Johnny’s home town in the Philippines.
Did a California Coastal in October then our annual trip to Mazatlan for Christmas but this time only had two families join us.
Had an awesome five months so far. Did a 16 night cruise to New Zealand and Australia with a few days before in Auckland and after in Perth. Both beautiful cities. ,celebrated our granddaughter's 21st Birthday in the Allure of the Seas sailing to Puerto Rico & St. Marteen.
Had the entire family (18) join us in Puerto Vallarta for our nieces wedding. Seemed like we have never had everyone in the last couple of years together unless it was a birthday or graduation. Counting our blessings for all that the Lord has blessed us with.
Just returned from the Big Island celebrating our granddaughter's 18 th birthday and high school graduation.
Hard to believe we will have another grandchild attending college. Go Gauchos!!! Malea attending her Senior Prom.
Continuing our 40th Wedding Anniversary celebration year on a 7 day California Coastal Cruise with our cruising buddies from 2014.
Celebrated our 40th Anniversary in Grand Caymen. Our oldest daughter Dr. Christina Casillas and her husband 1st Sgt Fabian joined us for a week.
Came to Vegas to watchour grandson in a hip hop dance showcase and had dinner with Lois Nakano Class of 1972 and her husband Billy Okubo.
Celebrated my 60th Birthday again with a 14 night cruise to Spain, UK and Portugal. We then visited our grandson who is studying at Charles University in Prague. Loved Prague,

A real treat to visit our daughter Dr. Christina Casillas as Principal at Roosevelt International Middle School in San Diego. She has a staff of almost 100 and 1046 students. We wish here all the best as she starts her new school year.
August 2015
Celebrated the Big Six Oh with all but one son-in-law who was on deployment. All 16 of us sailed on the Independence of the Seas and then Spent a week in Ft. Lauderdale. It was great to have all the 8 grandchildren play with one another as we only see our eldest daughter and her family for a few days at Christmas. I am truly blessed. Also spent time in Vegas and was able to see Lois Nakano Okubo after several years. Crossed the boogie board on the flow rider off my bucket list. Did the surfboard in 2006 on the Freedom of the Seas. Will celebrate my 60th again on a 13 night cruise from Barcelona to Lisbon and back in October.
January 2015 Update
Well The Big Six-Oh has come. I hope to continue to celebrate all year. Have been retired for the last two years and loving it. Have 8 grandchildren now. Our oldest Dr. Christina Casillas is principal at Roosevelt International School in San Diego and has 2 sons and one daughter. Xico is a junior at Cal Poly, Malea is a senior at The Bishops School in La Jolla and Cristian her youngest is 10. Fabian and Tina live in San Diego. n Paul has three sons, Jaxon, Lucas and Maddox. Jonathan Daniel is still single and as handsome as ever. I will be traveling this year; with the family on a cruise in August, to Mexico, the Philippines to our summer home and then a cruise in October to Spain and Portugal.
I was able to celebrate my birthday with our youngest granddaughter Aleia Isabelle and Aleia was also baptized in the same christening gown the I wore 60 years ago.

February 8, 2013 Update:
I have finally retired from the Postal Service after 40 years with the last six years as the San Francisco District Marketing Manager. We now have a four grandsons and two granddaughters with our oldest grandson graduating this year from Patrick Henry High School in San Diego. Last year's travels included the Philippines, our annual trip to Mazatlan, Pueblo Bonito at Emerald Bay and then a cruise through the Panama Canal sailing from San Diego, and stopping at Cabo, Puerto Vallerta, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, & Columbia. I never thought I would be interested in the history of the Panama Canal but it was truly a wonder. As a retiree, I plan to continue to travel, volunteer and babysit. Johnny is celebrating his 65th birthday this year and if anyone is in San Francisco, stop by St. Anne's at Funston and 16th as we will be partying all night long...a combination birthday and retirement party. Join us for drinks, food and music...dancing to the Elements of Time Band. Party starts at 6pm.

I am still the District Marketing Manager for the San Francisco USPS working towards completing my 39th year. Johnny has since retired from UCSF after 40 years and working part-time at Stanford to help his former boss. Our oldest daughter Tina, completed her doctorate last year in addition to her undergrad and master's all at SDSU and is married to Fabian and has three children Xico (16), Malea (14) and Cristian (7). Tina and her family live in San Diego where she is currently VP for the SDUSD Children's Learning Institute and Fabian is with the Marine Corps. Lisa who completed her undergrad at Stanford, her master's at Cal and Medical School at UC Davis and residency at UCSF is now a Pediatrician at Kaiser So Sac still using her maiden name. She married her high school sweetheart, Phil Doherty in 2007 and they live in West Sacramento. John Paul who graduated from SFSU in Psych along with Larissa welcomed our 4th grandchild, Jaxon Ethan earlier this year. Jonathan is an Electrician and also works at JP Marriott downtown and is still single. We have taken the time to enjoy our family and friends and also traveling to different locations with and without the family. We have traveled to the Bahamas,the Caribbean, Asia (including Japan, Indonesia & Singapore), Australia, Tahiti, Europe including Italy, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Paris, Scotland and England, South America and just returned from a New England cruise to Boston, Portland ME, St. John and Nova Scotia with 5 other couples from St. Anne's where our children attended elementary school. We also built a summer home in Albuera, Leyte and all are welcome if you have every a chance to visit the Philippines and spend Weeks 50 and 51 in Mazatlan every December.
