Life of 78 new PCS sites within the states of NJ, DE and MD. WORK EXPERIENCE (cont’d) Electrical Engineer U.S. Communications & Electronics Command (CECOM), Ft. Monmouth, NJ 2001 – 2003 Focus: Advanced wireless military applications in soldier level communication systems. Provided technical expertise and support for military applications in: (1) Short-range RF communications, (2) Wireless cable replacement for soldier on-body networks, (3) Netted communications for soldiers and sensor fields, (4) Dissemination of collaborated situational awareness information. • Lead engineer on three separate programs focused on implementing short-range RF technologies to replace cables for networked body-borne soldier personal military devices. • Established and executed a new R&D project which led to assignment as technical author for a contract to develop a military-specified Dual Function Radio (DFR) implementing WLAN and Bluetooth technologies within one chipset. • Designed and constructed lab capabilities to conduct research on military applications for WPAN technologies (Bluetooth, UWB, 802.11) • Supported various CECOM contractors and other DOD agencies for developing the future warfighter communications system structure. • Proved a DOD contract to develop short-range RF Data Transfer Modules was not producing technology beneficial to the Army’s objectives. saving $500,000 in DOD contract dollars. • Simultaneously supported seven CECOM/DARPA programs during a 2-month duration in 2002. Research Technical Analyst Bethlehem Steel Corporation (Homer Research Labs), Bethlehem, PA. 1997-2001 Assignment: Primary technical analyst of automotive grade sheet steel research and testing • Assisted in qualifying of all sheet steel currently in use by General Motors, DaimlerChrysler, Nissan and other Bethlehem Steel customers. Verified all stocked automotive grade steel ahead of schedule. • Executed the Auto Steel Partnership (AS/P) Weld Quality Endurance and Property Test for resistance welding. Utilized and programmed a robotic arm for resistance test procedures. • Helped to promote a partnership in R&D between industry rivals US Steel and Bethlehem Steel to study the effects of aluminum/iron elements within steel coatings on copper electrode life.
