Skip's Story
After graduating from Corona High School, I went to UC Irvine and got a BS in Biology. I got an MS in Biology from CSU Northridge and a PhD in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin. Since then, I taught and did research on developmental neurobiology at a number of colleges, universities and research institutions across the US. I have been married for 26 years to a woman from Idaho who is also a developmental neurobiologist. She recently took a job at the Friday Harbor Labs, which is the marine research station of the University of Washington. So we are shuttling back and forth between Ashburn, Virginia and Friday Harbor, Washington. We have no children and a growing herd of dogs.
I literally left Corona a week after graduation and have never been back.
