Frances's Story
2023
-Shortly after high school, my interest in a possible acting career was overshadowed by a greater interested in Errol, my high school sweetheart. We met in my senior year in Drama class where we both played in "Night Must Fall". We also played in "Bye, Bye Birdie". We've been happily married since 9/28/74 and live in Moorpark, CA.
-In 1976 while enjoying life, working for Rockwell Int'l., and performing on stage as Anita in "West Side Story", God arrested my attention and He's held it ever since. Errol & I were born again and became followers of Jesus Christ. Our lives took a dramatic & wonderful turn.
-We had the privilege of raising & homeschooling our 3 daughters (Sarah, Rebekah, & Rachel). So fulfilling! Looking back, we wish we would have had more kids. We now have 13 grandchildren (last one born in August). We're beyond blessed!
-Our 3 daughters are happily married, homeschooling their kids. Two live locally and one only 2 hours away.
-Since 1985 Errol has been the pastor of Grace Bible Church of Moorpark, where I serve in the music ministry, playing guitar & writing songs. d many others have visited. Errol has performed several weddings of friends from school, and sadly some funerals too.
-As for my [Lemos] family, eleven of us are still living either in Simi or Moorpark, one in Nevada, and one in Idaho. My dad, Benito, died in 1996, age 64, and my mom, Frances, died in Feb.2020, age 92. Both were born again, having surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ before they died.
- I grew up on Erringer Rd (between Cochran & L.A. Ave.), when it was quiet 2-lane road, surrounded by orange groves & eucalyptus trees. Occasionally I like to drive by these areas to reminisce: Dr. Jones' old medical office where I was born; the elementary schools I attended: Simi Elementary, Lincoln, & Parkview; and of course, the quadrant of "old Simi" (between 1st & 5th streets, and Ventura & L.A. Ave.) where memories were made with relatives living there.
-Errol & I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary in September, 2023. God willing, we'll be celebrating our 50th this year. God has been so very good to us!
-We still look pretty much the same as the "NOW" picture above.
