Len's Story
Life
I went to work for Georgia Power Company in 1965, married Lauren McIlveen in 1967, have two sons ages 32 and 28, one granddaughter age 10. I have worked with the Boy Scouts, both sons are Eagle Scouts, I and a member of the YAARAB Shrine Temple and a part time clown. I retired from the Souther Electric System in 1997, returned to work with them in 1999 and plan to retire for ...Expand for more

Workplace
Worked in the Souther Electric Systems, Procurement and Materials group for 32 years retiring in 1997. Kicked around for 6 months, returned to work as Procurement Manager for Equipment Supply Company, returned to Southern Energy in 1999 as a Procurement Agent, currently with Mirant Corp (a spin-off of Southern Company). I plan to retire for good in 2005.
