More about Len:"Hi, I'm Len Connell...I have lived in Las Vegas, Nevada since, 1984..I have a radio show called Sex and Money on AM 720 KDWN for 2 years, then one year on AM 920 KNUU then 3 years in the enviable noon to 1pm drive time slot weekdays on KLAV AM 1230, Las Vegas . I have been a financial planner in the valley since 1986 and retired in 2010. I studied in Europe/France in my 20s..I have a BA and an MBA. I have lived in Las Vegas since 1984..I have a radio show called Sex and Money Show, .I also own Global Legacy Financial LLC and have been a financial planner in the valley, since 1986..I went to university in France and have a BA and an MBA from UC Riverside and UNLV respectively...I worked for the University while in Graduate School.. I am single, never married, but raised by two oldest nieces as their legal guardian through high school.I have a sister, who is a very successful charge nurse and manages a hospice part time..I have 3 nieces and one nephew..her kids...She was married 3 times and is currently divorced. . I travel to San Francisco frequently, since I have clients there. I would like to start getting there more often. I would travel there nearly one week out of every other month...Started to really know my way around and it was a good cultural change from Las Vegas.. I felt part of both the Bay Area Culture and the virtual lack of it in Fabulous, Glamorous Las Vegas Baby.. I am an animal lover, having had 13 cats in the house at one time, due to owning an overzealous Cream Blue Point Siamese Cat, named Princess. I lived with a girl named Heidi for 5 years..We decided to live a comfortable life and indulge our love of animals.. We raised the three litters and found all of them good homes or duties as companion pets for crippled children and the elderly. ..All went well with them and now I am catless.. I like classical music, PBS, HBO, History Channel..love traveling, gardening, great restaurants, museums, etc... Politically, I am in the Center, since I can see circumstances where the policies of the left make sense and just as many where the policies of the right make sense. We get our best government and our...Expand for more
best economy based on the a favorable outcome between the never ending struggle between the two...Be afraid of a country totally dominated by either party...The negative consequences will be pretty much the same either way.. I am a Christian and Joyce Meyer Ministries is my favorite...I also like Chuck Swindoll's ministries as well...I am a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus and was baptized Roman Catholic. I was born in New Haven, Ct. lived in Fall River, Mass from age 5 to age 14, lived in Riverside, Ca. through high school and college to age 21..lived in Europe t'ill age 23, and lived in Las Vegas ever since...Vegas is a great place to live, but be weary of all the vices and addictions here to tempt someone and ruin their lives.. My parents are both still alive and in their early eighties...My sister is extremely busy as a charge nurse and taking care of four children..So I have taken the point to be more prominent in their lives to make them happy as they reach the remaining years of their lives. Like most people, for most of my adult life, I have only seen them rarely and on holidays. Now, I make it a point to do things with them, help them as their faculties and physical abilities decline, and share some good times, for whatever time we have. The financial services industry also changed for the worst and I saw the writing on the wall ahead of time...The two companies I was most closely associated with tried to end my career to cover up nefarious actions on their part, which resulted in the mass terminations of most of the management staff in one...and dozens of class action lawsuits and actions by state regulators for the other. The brunt of my difficulties with them came at the same time as my GFs parents' death and her struggle , so I am quite resentful about how it played out and my view of the ethics and character of the financial services industry is dismal at best. I was lucky enough to duck the financial bullet that has resulted in the demise of many, which has left me open to new opportunities...with a popular radio show, now the number 1 talk show in its time slot in the las vegas valley which has greatly elevated my social status and has opened doors for me that would have been unimagineable before.. I just turned 50, so I an carefully considering the last third of my journey in life...I have been lucky to have made decent money and to have had the freedom and independence of being a business owner all these years..Still, I feel that the Financial Services Industry, just like the mortgage and real estate industries, will not be the panacea that they were for the past 20 years or so....I welcome the doors that having a successful radio show have opened and welcome whatever career paths and adventures this new opportunity may bring to me....lc.".
