Lena's Story
My family lived on Cadillac between Sylvester, and Mack Avenues in the 2 story yellow house. My brother was Tommy Johnson; he graduated in 1965, played football, basketball, and ran track at Eastern high. I came to eastern February 1964 from Barbour Jr. High, but unfortunately, I moved to California the summer of 1965, and I truly enjoyed, and missed my main friends Dorothy Morton, and Cornelia Oxendine. Barbara Bennett; Melvina Ferguson, Edith Rice, Lillian Garner, Carolyn Marks, Garfield Kilpatric, Dennis Fuller, Roderick Hurst, Gloria Goolsby, Sandra Woods, Shirley Edwards, Julia Carver, Rosie Hodges, Venida Seals. and Tony young were my buddies as well. Even though I moved and was not able to graduate with my class of January '67, I will always remember them, the fun we had, and I consider Eastern High School, and Detrolt, Michigan as my home. I would live, and hope to hear from all of you, and God Bless.
