More about Lennie:"On Saturday May 15,2010 we got new carpet for most of our home. We went through Empire Today and they did a fabulous job. We had moved the piano to the kitchen so they could have access to the living room floor.
After they were finished Matthew and I were moving the piano back to the living room and that’s when trouble started!
Half way through the dining room my feet slipped out from under me and I landed on my butt. I broke my back!
Matt called the ambulance and Suzanne, (she had been out running errands) and they both arrived in quick order.
The ambulance guys said they could not get me out the door and dawn the front steps so the helped me WALK ----- OUCH. I have never experienced that level of pain in my entire life.
Here’s the place God’s power started to be visible. He was with me every step of the way. My prayer support and cards were wonderful...Expand for more
and uplifting.
After a few weeks in the hospital critical care they let me come home and finish my recouping here. A Nurse and a Physical Therapist came by once a week and encouraged me to keep working on the “right” stuff and I would be better in time.
Here’s the great part. A few days ago I had surgery that involved the Doctor injecting some kind of epoxy which bound together the parts of my 5th vertebrae and it really did the job.
My severe pain is gone – I have a little pain from the procedure and some sore muscles, but that aint nothin’ compared to the excruciating pain for the last 2 months.
Today I take my walk around the block (with my walker) and other exercises to get me back to full strength. I pray that I will be able to play drums very soon and maybe a round of golf!!
I thank God through His the Holy Spirit and all of your prayer support for helping me so far, and lest I forget, I especially want to thank my wonderful wife Suzanne and our family for all the help.
