Lenore's Story
Life
I guess as we get older, we want to reconnect more with our past and the fond memories we had. Children grow up, we have more free time, we are no longer trying to find where we are going, we just enjoy where we are now. So...I'm still liviing in Belleville, yes, it's changed much, but my business is here, my children have all been involved in school activities and friendships and most of all, I'm comfortable in a place I've known and loved for so many years. My youngest daughter, Sherry graduated BHS in 2010 and is now attending Rutgers. She was an outstanding athlete in track, as well as very artistically and musically talented. She had wanted to beat her sister's records. Ariel, my oldest graduated in 1999 after having set 3 records in track.. But unfortunately, the lack of a track or equipment squelched that quest. Ariel also has served time in the Marine Corps....took a "break" from college and joined the Marines! She rose quickly up the ranks to Sgt. and Master Dog Handler. Went off to Kuwait when the war started, decided to go back as a civilian dog handler with her cadaver trained dog for 11 mo's, but to my relief, has returned stateside and is currently living and working very successfully in VA, training dogs for bomb detection and looking to buy kennel property in the future. My son, Richie, the middle child, graduated in 2007 from BHS and is...Expand for more
working as a EMT as he pursues continuing a career either in firefighting or police. I'm still in my own business, Lenore's Canine Clippery, here in Belleville after 38 years! Only working part-time now though....I want more time to play! I "inherited" a horse from Ariel when she moved from NC to VA. I board him in Sussex and absolutely enjoy riding and living my dream. I say to you who have dreams....don't ever give them up. It took 50 years for me to get my horse I always wanted!! My other love in life is training and showing my dogs. I have collies, blue merle (which is a coloration of black, grey and white - not your normal sable "Lassie" color)and thoroughly enjoy competing at dog shows with them. I am an officer of the special education group in town, Seppo, have been for about 17 years. We are advocates for the special children, I find this very rewarding especially at times when we have parties for them, such as Christmas with Santa and presents. Living in town, I still have contact with quite a few classmates but hope to reconnect with some of you and find out how life has been treating you. I'm not sure what else to put here....aside from the normal wear and tear, I'm in great health which I'm thankful for. I guess that sums up a profile....although I'm probably forgetting something. Don't we all!! Hope to hear from some of you. Lenore
