Leon's Story

After Milford Mill I got my BFA in Graphic Design at the Maryland Institute (MICA). My first job out of school was doing technical illustrations for Ellicott Machine Corp. in Baltimore. I lasted a few years there and moved on to Westinghouse Corp. in Hunt Valley, doing essentially the same thing. oop. I finally reached a point of aggravation and moved to the Edgewood Area of the proving ground to work for the Center of Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine (you got to love the Feds for long winded titles). I retired from there March 2007. I have lived in Havre de Grace for over 20 years, actually between Aberdeen and HdG. I have been married 24 years and have two stepdaughters and one daughter currently at UofM. My wife Brenda still works at the proving ground and hopefully will retire in the next few years.
