I have just opened my newest museum which is here in South Portland. Come see it as I think you'll find it very interesting. to say the least. It is at 50 Peary Terrace (the old VFW building just off Cash Corner). The museum portion encompasses 6000 square feet. It will quadruple the exhibits that were in the little building in Mill Creek Park.
The VFW have gone and now I have the entire 12,000 square feet of display space with a future snack bar and reading room. It is already 2/3 rds done with all new exhibits.
It covers all of Maine's military history from the Revolutionary War to Afghanistan.
Moved home permanently in 2006... 40+ years in the Golden State?? was more than enough.
