Leon's Story
School
I have very fond memories of elementary school. I was K through 8 at Gidley School in El Monte.
I attended both Arroyo and Glendora High Schools. I lettered in Varsity Cross Country and Track at both schools and graduated from Arroyo.
College
After brief stints at Pasadena City College and Long Beach City College, I attended USC where I graduated with a BA in Spanish in 1980.
I attended the USC Madrid Center directed by Dr. Haigh. I had a blast in Spain and I am still fluent in Spanish.
I returned to USC in 1987 and attended the Marshall School of Business. I was in the C...Expand for more
ORE full time, AM, in 87-88, and then finished up part time over the following two years with my MBA in 1990.
I'm a season ticket holder to Trojan Football. Fight On!
Workplace
I have been a financial advisor since 1987 with several major Wall Street brokerages. I started out in downtown LA after my first year in the MBA core and transferred to Orange County where I have worked and lived since 1989.
I am currently with Wachovia Securities in the Newport Beach branch. I am a first vice president and portfolio manager.
I help people and small businesses with thier investment needs.
