Leon's Story
Life
I moved from Springfield, Virginia to St. Louis on June 20 1976, just after my junior year ended.
After graduating from Parkway West, I went to Purdue University in Indiana and received bachelor's and master's degrees in aerospace systems engineering in 1981 and 1982.
Then I worked for McDonnell Douglas in Huntington Beach, California from June 1982 until June 1993 as a systems engineer on advanced concepts for space and defense.

s in space and defense technology and policy to aerospace companies, Department of Defense, NASA, and Congressional staff and Members of Congress.
I also provide systems modeling and analysis services to non-aerospace companies and local government entities.
I married Joan Donahue from the Chicago area in November 1993, and we have a wonderful daughter, Bridget, who is 16 years old and will be a junior this fall at Visitation Academy. Bridget does everything under the sun - dance, theater, social life, academics, community volunteering - and does everything well!
