Leonie's Story
Hello to all my long lost friends. Where do I start. After graduation I went to UNM and received my degree in Education. A few years later I went to OKC to train as an Air Traffic Controller. When I successfully made it through the Academy I was assigned to the Albuquerque Center Air Traffic Control Facility and trained for another three years before I was fully certified to work traffic. I have been working as an ATC for 20 years now. I am now a manager and I really love my job. I met my husband, Juan, 14 years ago and he is also an Air Traffic Controller. d have been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Vanessa (9 years old) and Jordan (6 years old). We also have two labs and a great dane puppy. I love spending time with my family. I have lived in Albuquerque since graduation. I love the weather and the mountains. I love to vacation by the ocean with my family which we do at least once a year. We also love to go to Dallas for some big city activities like shopping, theaters and pro games. We love to snow ski, hike and bike ride also. Thank God for all that we have and all that we are able to do. I am looking forward to seeing everyone in September.
