Lesley's Story
Life
I worked in an environmental lab in Illinois for eight years during which time I earned my masters in education. I taught science at Robert Frost Jr. High for one year after which I moved to Colorado. I live in Morrison and teach in Evergreen, both in the foothills outside of Denver. Besides teaching, I'm the head of the science department, the science instructional leader and I help run a mountain biking club. For fun, I still run, road bike, camp and snowboard. I enjoy travelling and in the past few years have been to Italy, England, Scotland, France, New York and Hawaii. Some trips have been with students and some have been my own educational endeavors...Expand for more
. I also accompany students to San Diego every year where they attend a marine biology camp called SeaCamp. I am single with no children of my own, but have had plenty whose lives have touched mine. [The picture is with my god-daughter, one of Julie(Wilmes)Gudeman's bunch.] I am addicted to crossword puzzles, historical fiction, red wine, dark chocolate and Starbuck's mochas (can't say that I'm proud of that). One of the things I miss most about the Chicagoland area is pizza that is cut into squares instead of triangles (besides my family and friends of course!) As far as what the future holds, I'm training for an excursion to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro this summer.
