Lesley's Story
Life
After graduating in '77, tried York University for science, but bailed after 3 months. Went to work as a clerk at Connaught laboratories, weasled my way in as a lab technician, worked there for 6 years, got bored, quit and went to University of Toronto. Spent 5 years there, got my M.A. in Linguistics in 1989, then got a job at IBM working in the research and development lab as a technical writer. is a bunch of graphic designers who work on the IBM software developed in the lab. Also got married in 1989, had my daughter Samantha in 1993, and in 1999, finally moved out of the city into our country home of 26 acres near Mansfield. We own two llamas, assorted ducks and chickens, and we have two cats and two dogs. When I'm not working on a computer, I spend my spare time doing woodworking or home renovation to release my creative energies. That's it. Twenty seven years in 7 sentences! I think this is the shortest thing I've written in years!
