Lesley's Story
Hello all,
Just to let people know that I do know how to use a computer I fugured i had better write something. Posting photos is not a skill I have acquired yet, though. I will get my grand-daughter to do it for me.
I am still working for the Department of Corrections. They have shut down 7 facilities and mine was one of them, so am being transferred to another one here in Orange County. Actually it is closer to home.
Irene was a direct hit here with damages still being counted. We had a flooded basement but that was it. Within a mile of us 9 homes are condemned and have to be torn down. Not exactly a fun time. But it could have been worse. The timing was good for ...Expand for more
us because we were in Las Vegas when it hit and our return flight made it into LaGuardia on the 29th just after they reopened the airport. Luckily our car was parked on the second level of a garage because there were alot of trees down just outside the garage.
Other than that bit of excitement, there is not much to report. You know what Its like. You go to bed; you get up; you go to work (maybe); and you check your e-mail. Not being retired, that is about it. Oh, except we still have horses, so that takes up 3 houirs of each of my days.
