We worked at Riverview Hospital,Wisconsin Rapids,WI, Cheri as a post surgical nurse and I in surg. We moved to Marshfield, WI in 1969 and worked at ST Joseph Hospital. Cheri in ICU and I in surg. MC was training Physician Assistants, I applied and was accepted. I was with Maechfield Clinic until 1995 when I had to retire because of Post Polio Syndrome. The PPS symptoms started in 1981, 1986 I had to leave surg and go off call. I approached the Ortho dept. with the suggestion of starting a Foot Clinic within our Ortho dept. It was accepted and I went off to get special training and started the foot clinic. The FC is still thriveing and has grown beyond my wildest dreams. My retirement has allowed me to hunt year round, rifle, crossbow and pistol. I really enjoy reading history, civil war,ww2 and Lincoln. I have been active with the board of directors for the workshop. Marshfield is is a small town in the center of the state with a medical clinic, research center, large hospital. They are a level one trauma center, have a childerns center in the hospital. The clinic has 42 outlying clinics and over seven hundred MD's. Our small town has 18,000 pop. and just about everybody is related, but it is really a great place to live. I am just one year from having my right hip replaced and feel so much better. The hip pain was really bad for three years. My sister Carole still lives in Peoria and we visit when we can. We still have friends in Champaign-Urbana,which is where I grew up. Haveing been born in Chicago I have carried my BEARS colors with pride and a lot of crap! I have another sister who lives in Sun Parrie,WI and another just west of Minneapolis on Lake Minatonka
