Leslie's Story
Life Happens when we are not looking and we play the cards that we have been given. good and bad. I
Have always been a very passionate person, I really enjoy early mornings when the world is still sleeping. It is my quiet time to hear and see God's creation in all it's wonder. I have brought to the world two beautiful daughters, Shannon & Kat and a son, Chris who make my life complete. I have had my share of pit falls; yes- but
learned how to use them as stepping stones to another level of growth. I still have a lot ahead, My Mom always told me "'one knows when they are older by the deaths in their 'wake' Yea, I am older I hope wiser at least more seasoned.
School
Not much difference here from everyone else-just school. I did not get along well with most of my teachers and I was bullied a bit but I got over it ( if one can call it that). One of the impish things I ever did was break a small window in my 6^th grade classroom door to get in out of the cold. The girl on the inside was sure surprised to see my bloody curled up fist before her face.
R.O.P in Hospital Unit Clerk., with 2 certificates. Merchandising also with certificate. The school of hard knocks which is the gap in the years between 1975-1984.
I never gave-up the theater or acting. Started it in high school and still going.....Like the bunny! right~! acting is still in the blood, I've tried to leave it behind but still the bug is there to bite me.
took 12 units of ECS but I didn't go into teaching small children. Back pain had other ideas. I took a pilot ground school class (and learned to fly) at Pasadena City College. Really I learned to fly first it was the easier of the two. One day I'll get my license. I really love to fly. Time and $ consuming- but one day. Oh yeah, I took one class in law. It was fun and a lot of studying. Marriage took me up north to S...Expand for more
anta Maria (7years ) Joined a local Theater group here in town. One of the pitfalls of acting is divorce. Drowned my sorrows at Hancock College mostly in film dance theater.Moved to Lompoc More classes at Hancock. 2nd marriage (13years) back to Santa Maria and an AA in liberal Arts- 2004. An AS in Film by Dec 08 but since I did not get the paper work in have to wait til spring 09. During this time my 2 grown daughters graduated with their degrees both in Biology. Son taking Administration of Justice in Anaheim.
Workplace
let's see if I remember all these. I believe it started with babysitting-then I stuffed envelops for a pharmacy company. Worked at both Roberson's and May company when they were both single- and way before they turned into Macy s. An engineering company. A bank, ice cream section of a drug store, Putting TV's on the wall of patient rooms, at a hospital before TV's were stationary (and those were some heavy sets). .theater, Paper carrier, gardener, Security Guard, home health care, disability, security guard more disability, lots of college. Marriage/divorce, survival.......trying to get my offspring to call me back
