Leslie's Story
Hi,
It still makes me smile when I run across someone I knew during high school on Classmates who has taken the time and effort to share a pic and their story. So, in case anybody remembers me and is interested in where my journey has taken me, here goes.
I met my husband of 37 yrs, Lyle, when we both worked at Northrop Corp. We have 4 children - 3 sons, 1 daughter who kept me very busy as a full-time homemaker until I decided to return to school when the youngest (twins) were 12. We had moved up the San Francisco Bay Area (Cupertino) where we lived from 1979-2003. I earned a Master's degree in clinicial psychology in 1994, became a licensed marriage & family therapist in 1998 and established a private practice in Los Altos, CA. Lyle grew up in Laguna Beach, Ca and when he retired in 2003 we decided to move back to the OC where he cou...Expand for more
ld be closer to his roots and look up old friends. I currently have a part-time Practice in Laguna Niguel, where we now live. He divides his time between playing piano or vibes in a jazz band - The Laguna Jazz Quartet- at a local restaurant and oil painting. We enjoy being closer to 2 of our children who live in San Diego, while we make several trips a year to visit the other 2 who remain in the Bay Area. 2007 was a whirlwind as 2 of our sons were married. No grandchildren yet.
Throughout the years we have had our share of challenges but overall we feel very blessed to have wonderful friends and family and to both be engaged in activites we feel passionate about.
I have fond memories of my years at Western, especially of time spent playing tennis and singing in the Acapella Choir. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me.
