Leslie's Story
I retired from full-time work at the end of October 2011. I already "retired" once from the Air Force in 1987. We have settled in the Fredericksburg VA area in an "active adult" community. I just joined the "Spare time singers", a small group of folks who like to sing. We will show our "talents" at some of our community activities and recently stand-alone concerts. enjoy it. I had back surgery in May 2012, which left me with a "drop foot". Recently I was diagnosed with Parkinson's. However, neither problem affects my activities to any great extent. Looking forward to our 50 year reunion in August 2013.
Karen and I have two daughters and now 6 grandchildren. A seventh, Beth, died last year after a 4 year lifelong battle with Pearson Syndrome. One granddaughter is married, and another may be married by the time of our 50 year reunion.
