After leaving high school, I married and had two children. 10 years later, Divorced, and becoming certified through New York School of Design, opened up an Interior design studio in Whittier, A few years later I married again, and having a third child, 15 years younger than my other kids. We all moved from CA to Albuquerque NM, Fast forward, two older kids having moved to CA after high school, and me 10 years later, divorced again.........opened up an Interior Design Studio in Albuquerque. After 13 years and having achieved several Interior Design Awards, and a seat on the State Interior Design Board, I decided to move back to CA, My two older kids were giving me grandkids, and I wanted to be near my parents, now in their 80's. My two kids already in CA , my youngest son (after one year of college) and I decided to close the business, and move to CA. I again set up a Design Studio in Del Mar, CA. I became involved in the community, first as a two time President for the Del Mar Kiwanis Club (fundraising to benefit children's activities) and becoming the Chairman of the Board for the San Diego Coastal Chamber of Commerce for two terms. 13 years later I again closed the business and moved from Solana beach in beautiful San Diego's north county to the hot desert in Tucson, Arizona. I always wanted to retire in Tucson, as I love the climate and the landscape and over the years became familiar the area after having many years of coming there to service design clients.
