Leslyn's Story
For those of you who wonder who I am, I went by Leslee in High School.
After 13 years in a very (emotionally abusive) marriage, my life changed. I got a divorce. One year later Johnny came back into my life. We had been High School Sweethearts our Jr. and Sr. years at West High. We were always meant to be ."Soul mates", there is no thing as coincidence. We were married in 1988 at Lake Tahoe. We met second semester our sophmore year in Mr. Call's English class. Mr.Call and His wife attended the wedding. Together we have raised three great kids. Two daughters 32, and 23 and one son 29. And now we are guardian's to my 86 year old Mother who has Altzheimer's
Eleven years ago I hung up my stethoscope after a great, long, career in nursing. I returned to school and received a diploma in esthetics. As an aesthetician I can still fulfill my need to touch and make a difference. I have a busy practice and a passion for what I do.
I have worked with women in the "Look good Feel Better" program. Sponsored by The American Cancer Society. I also do reconstructive make up at a Funeral Home here in Reno.

ys go to San Fran 3 1/2 hrs away, but I prefer Lake Tahoe. Many family camping trips and our kids first parasailing at the Lake.
I had some great friends and met some awesome people at West. Becky O'Brien and I used to cruz the beach. I re-established contact after our 30 year reunion. She lives two hours away. Sher Weeks just located me on my space. I can't understand how a class as big as ours has dwindled to less than 200 contactable alumni. I guess there must have been a lot of sad kids back in high school, that would rather not remember. This was pointed out to me at the last reunion by a great friend who has his masters in marriage and family counseling. This was based on the information that we provided on our questionaires.
I grew up in Reno,NV. where my Father taught ROTC at the University of Nevada,Reno and also worked at the armory.
I attended middle schools in Seattle. A different school for grades 6th through 9th. I never could put down roots. It was a very hard and akward time anyway. I never felt like I belonged.
My Father was an Officer in the Military so I spent many years traveling from school to school. I begged Him when He retired and took a job at Mattel to just let me finish my last three years at one school.
Lucky for me it was West High.
