Eddie's Story
Life
Well, my bio huh! What can I say? Not much to say really. I've had a less than remarkable life. After High School I went to truck driving school and became a truck driver. My first job was driving for W.A. Kelso driving a cement mixer. I started at the Chocolate Bayou plant and spent 4 years there. When Kelso closed down that plant I was transfered to the Webster plant where I remained for the next 6 years. When Kelso sold it's plants to Parker Bros. of Houston I took off for about 6 months. Then I drove a dump truck for a small private company in Seabrook for about a year. That company went bankrupt and it took me about 4 months to find another job. I finally found a job driving for Wilkinson Supply in Texas City. I spent the next 12 years there delivering industrial supplies to all the ...Expand for more
local plants and many of the machine shops in the area. In 1998 I was diagnosed with Cancer, (Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma). I spent the first 2 months of 1998 in U.T.M.B. Galveston. Because of the location of the tumor and subsiquent removal the surgery left my left leg paralyzed and my right leg partially paralyzed. A nerve was damaged during the removal, thus I was left disabled and have been since. Now I spend my time watching T.V. and on the computer. At first not having to go to work was fun. But after a year or so of that, life has become dull and boring. I have on quite a few occasions looked for some kind of at-home work. But mostly what I can find on the internet seems scrupulous. I just don't think I should have to pay anyone to so I can work for them. Well that's my Bio, as dull as my life.
